I came out of the bathroom only to find Owen laying on the bed on his back with his feet crossed over and his hands behind his back. He looked up at me and I clutched the towel closer to my body, praying that it wouldn't fall.
"Um...Thank you for," I cleared my throat, "for saving me from drowning." It felt weird, especially given the fact that I was only dressed in a towel.
He only nodded in response while I just stood there waiting for him to go out of the room -- but he didn't. I cleared my throat again thinking he'd actually get what my throat clearing meant.
"Do you need some water?" He asked eyes laced with amusement. He knew exactly what I wanted but he didn't bother helping me out.
He got up from the bed and walked over to me and I held the towel tighter against my body. He was closer than before.
With my wet clothes in one hand and the towel closely held in the other, I walked out of his room with shoulders square. I felt his eyes follow me as if hoping that I would somehow embarrass myself. Thankfully I was out of the door before anything happened.
"Take some pain killers." He spoke up, just before I shut the door, his voice laced with amusement and I could imagine the smirk that he was sporting.
I quickly opened the door to my room and got dressed in my pyjamas. I almost went to bed before remembering what he had told me. I made my way to the kitchen and took a glass of water and painkillers. Just as I was about to exit the kitchen, I realised that the house had been cleaned up. The living room was the way it was before the party. It actually looked like there hadn't been a party at all. I decided I'd had enough and walked in my room before finally crawling in my bed. It definitely had been a long day.

Monday rolled in and I was making my way out of Owen's car where Marlene had continuously glared at me every chance she got.
I saw Kate close her car door and I quickly walked over to her.
  "Hey Kate."
"Oh hey Lyra." She gave me a hug and with a full blown out grin on her face. "I had the best weekend of my life and I wish it didn't end." She gushed after releasing me from the hug.
  "Really?"
"Yeah but before I dive into how amazing my weekend was, how was yours?" By then we had been walking in the hallways towards our lockers.
"It..." I didn't know how to explain it. Of course Saturday was the highlight of the weekend and almost everyone, if not all, from school had been at the party and I didn't want her to find out from someone else.
"I was at a party and I got pushed in the pool after taking a full bottle of beer and I almost drowned but Owen of all people saved me and-"
"Lyra. Breathe." She said placing her hands on my shoulders. "Now can you please repeat what you said but this time slowly."
"I was at Owen's party on Saturday night and somehow I ended up playing truth or dare with the girls when Marlene...she dared me to take off my clothes in front of Owen," I whispe
